Our first step in approaching this project is to do a beginner’s outlook and assumption map. While we would usually establish group rules and principles, we decided to skip that part since this is an individual project. We did agree to do some of the initial steps together:
I personally felt that the beginner’s outlook is not as useful this time, since the beginner’s outlook is more of a mindset than a method of its own, this time only really serves as a reminder. The assumption map is also more difficult to do this time round. Maybe from the last project, we are already pretty aware of the need to keep our assumptions in check, so we found it hard to find assumptions we haven’t already addressed internally. But what we did find is that our assumptions this time seems a bit deeper, and one even lead to a good insight.
